Ervin Mendlovitz, OD is an award winning screenplay and novel writer. The screenplay version of his first novel, "GalveStorm 1900: A Story of Twin Flames" was recognized as an honorable mention winner at the Hollywood Book Festival Contest in 2016. The screenplay version of "GalveStorm 1900: A Story of Twin Flames" was also recognized at WorldFest Houston, International Film Festival with a Silver Remi Award in 2018.
Dr. Mendlovitz's second book,published in 2015, is titled "The Voices of the Descendants: Stories from The 1900 Galveston Storm." This book is a compilation of stories primarily told by the descendants of those who experienced The 1900 Storm.
In 2019, Dr. Mendlovitz wrote another screenplay titled "Codex." The screenplay is about a religious studies professor, David Burnsim, who discovers a cipher in The Book of Revelation that leads to the ultimate battle between good and evil at The Gates of Hell. The screenplay was recognized as a finalist by the prestigious 13Horror.com Screenplay Festival 2018 as well as a finalist for the Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest 2018. In 2019. "Codex" was awarded a Silver Remi at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.
Dr. Mendlovitz practices optometry as a private practitioner in San Antonio, Texas. He is married to Elizabeth, and they have two sons Aaron and Bryan.
